For nearly a century, ISK Biocides has helped hardwood producers protect what matters most: the quality and value of their lumber. Now, the company is entering its next chapter with a clear focus on delivering high-performance protection at a more competitive cost, led by its newest innovation, CERBERUS.

Lance Johnson, VP of Sales & Marketing, and Darryl McClelland, Warehouse Supervisor, bring a combined 69 years of experience with ISK.

Headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee, ISK Biocides is a leading sup-plier of chemical solutions for industrial, commercial, and residential wood applications. With roots tracing back to Chapman Chemical in 1933, the company built a legacy of delivering trusted wood protection products across the Americas and New Zealand.

NEXT GENERATION PROTECTION, BUILT FOR TODAY’S MARKET

ISK’s newest product, CERBERUS, represents a strategic step forward for hardwood producers navigating tighter margins and rising costs.

Recently EPA-registered, CERBERUS is designed to deliver the same high-level of performance customers expect from ISK while improving cost efficiency. Named after the three-headed dog of Greek mythology, which guarded the gates of the underworld, CERBERUS features three active ingredients, guarding your lumber against sapstain and mold.

“We believe CERBERUS will be the next 25-year product,” said Lance Johnson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at ISK Biocides. “It offers the same proven protection our customers rely on, while helping them manage costs in today’s market.”

For an industry where maintaining lumber quality is critical, CERBERUS provides a practical solution: strong, reliable protection without added financial strain.

A LEGACY OF PERFORMANCE

CERBERUS builds on the success of ISK’s long-standing flagship product, NeXgen®, which has set the industry standard in sapstain control for more than two decades.

Together with its broader product line, including mold control, sealers, insecticides, and coatings, ISK continues to support hardwood operations at every stage of production.

“Everything we do is centered around protecting wood,” Johnson said. “Our focus is helping producers preserve quality from the mo-ment lumber is cut through final processing.”

ROOTED IN THE HARDWOOD COMMUNITY

A long-time member of NHLA, ISK Biocides remains deeply connected to the hardwood industry it serves.

“It’s more like a family reunion when we attend NHLA events,” Johnson said. “We’ve built relationships over decades, and staying connected helps us better understand what our customers need.”

LOOKING AHEAD

As market pressures continue to challenge hardwood producers, ISK Biocides is focused on delivering solutions that balance performance and cost.

“With CERBERUS we’re not just introducing a new product. We’re responding to what the industry needs right now,” Johnson said.

Through continued innovation and a commitment to its customers, ISK Biocides is helping ensure the future of wood protection remains strong.
