Position Description
We are a family owned business that has been in operation for over 30 years.
Our Mill Manager is responsible for supervising all aspects of lumber production operations. This includes achieving production goals, ensuring machinery is maintained and ready for production, enforcing safety and lumber quality standards and utilizing raw materials in the most efficient manner.
Required Skills & Experience
-Hands-on understanding of modern sawmill technologies and strategies, production flow, and sawmill processes from debarking to the packaging shipment of green lumber.
-Experience in a production leadership role.
-Thorough understanding of sawmill machinery, raw materials and production processes as well as quality control.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Exceptional organizational skills.
-Must be timely and have the ability to meet deadlines of all types.
-Must have practical sawmill problem solving skills.
-Must have the ability to learn and utilize G-suite or similar software as well tally software for lumber production and sales.
